What is Tea?
Tea is a beverage made by processing the leaf of the Camellia sinensis plant. It is the second most popular beverage in the word, second only to water. It is estimated that between 18 and 20 billion 6 oz. cups of tea are consumed daily on our planet.
The four most common types of tea are black tea, oolong tea, green tea and white tea. All of these teas are made from the same plant, but processed differently. White tea differs from the rest by how it is grown.
Tea is labeled a stimulant, since it contains caffeine. It has less caffeine than coffee, and supplies a wide variety of vitamins and essential oils. Read more about health benefits of tea here.
