Traditional Chai Tea recipe

Description

This is a popular and traditional spiced tea, or chai as it more commonly called. Its creamy rich flavor that comes from the milk and the spice is just subtle enough to tickle the palate.

Ingredients

  • ½ pint condensed milk
  • 4 cups water
  • ½ tsp ground or grated ginger
  • ¼ tsp ground cardamom
  • 8 whole cloves
  • 8 tea bags
  • Honey to taste
    • Procedure

      Bring the water to almost boiling stage and brew the tea for 5 minutes in it. Take out the tea bags and add the spices while simmering the brew for about 10 minutes. Add the milk and heat up back to boiling. Serve with honey to taste.
