Spicy Milk Tea recipe

Description

Unlike most chai teas, this is not made with black tea. The green tea in this preparation brings a completely different flavor to the beverage and the extra milk makes it bright and fresh.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 tbs green tea leaves
  • 6 whole cloves.
  • ½” ground or grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup milk
  • Honey to taste

Procedure

Bring water to boil, add ginger and cloves and simmer for about 10 minutes. Add the tea leaves and brew for an additional 5 minutes. Add the milk and bring to boil again. Take off from the stove; filter out the spices and tea leaves. A dash of honey in each cup will add some sweetness for those in need.

Serves 4
