Sparkling Jasmine Iced Tea recipe

Description

A delightful combination of syrup of brown sugar flavored with jasmine, this tea offers a flowery taste and flavor and the sparkling water adds a unique visual delight as well as a bubbly experience.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp loose jasmine tea
  • 4 cups water brought to boil
  • 1 ¼ cups sparkling water

Procedure

Add the brown sugar to ¾ cups of boiling water and form consistent syrup. Let it cool. Brew the jasmine tea in the remaining hot water for about six minutes. Filter and let it cool. In a pitcher, mix the tea and the syrup and stir well till fully mixed. Add the sparkling water and cool completely. Serve over crushed ice. This can also be served with cinnamon sticks, sprigs of mint and lemon wedges.
