Description

The key flavoring in this tea with a kick comes from cloves and allspice. This is a variation of a common iced chai tea where spicy does not necessarily have to mean hot. This is a cool me down tea with a bit of a sling!

Ingredients

  • 12 allspice berries
  • 12 whole cloves
  • ½ inch cinnamon stick
  • 4 cups of water
  • 3 tbsp of loose tea
  • Lemon wedges

Procedure

Add the tea, cloves, allspice and cinnamon to the water in a saucepan and bring to boil. Turn down to simmer and let it brew for about five minutes. Filter the liquid out and refrigerate till completely chilled. Serve with lemon wedges over crushed ice.
