Description
This is a popular drink during the Indian color festival of Holi. This is not a tea but a refreshing drink nevertheless. You are sure to like it for a change from regular teas.
Ingredients
- 2 tsp aniseed
- 2 tsp poppy seeds
- 2 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 tsp pepper corns
- 15 almond pods
- 8 cardamom pods
- 400 ml milk
- 300 ml water
- 12 tsp sugar
- 4 tsp crushed ice
Procedure
Grind all the spices except the almonds together. Grind almonds separately. Mix all together in a large bowl while adding water and milk. Strain using a filter cloth to obtain a smooth liquid. Serve cold after mixing in the almond paste.
