Description
This preparation gives a nutty flavor due to the powdered almonds. The taste in enhanced by cinnamon and cardamom as well. Saffron is a luxury, and if not available, can be omitted.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp finely powdered almonds
- 4 bruised pods of cardamom
- 1 small piece of cinnamon broken into tiny pieces
- 1 tsp loose tea leaves
- 4 cups of water
- A pinch of saffron threads
- Honey to taste
Procedure
Add all ingredients except the almonds and the saffron threads to the water. Bring to boil, and simmer for five minutes. Place a tea spoon of almonds at the bottom of each cup and pour the brewed mixture over them. Add honey to taste to each cup.
