Four Spice Chai recipe

Description

What makes this cup of chai special is the peppery taste from whole black pepper corns.

Ingredients

  • 4 whole pepper corns
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 4 whole cardamom pods
  • 1 3” piece of cinnamon stick
  • 1 tbsp black tea leaves
  • 4 tsp sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups water

Procedure

Bring water to boil and turn down to simmer. Add tea leaves and let it brew for about 3 minutes. Add the sugar and spices and stir continuously for between 5 to 10 minutes, depending on how strong you wish the tea to taste. Add the milk and bring back to boil. Filter out the spices and serve hot.
